1,980 miles
Apr 8 – By
all accounts, the King Lake State Forest Campground offers a pleasant camping
experience. I even imagined this
invigorating breakfast scene.
King Lake Road turnoff |
But here’s
what I can actually see from the highway – the road branching away from the
highway.
Somewhere
near here – too far from any road – is Tioga Falls.
So I
continued on along the highway to find something more interesting nearby.
Moose nearby? That's interesting. I haven't seen any mention of them before.
Tioga Creek
Roadside Park offers rest stop facilities and a short walk along a paved path
to a pretty little waterfall.
In fact,
you can get a great view of the cascade right from the roadway.
The waterfall is complex enough and wet
enough to provide plenty of enjoyment.
It looks like a gem in a precise setting.
