Kemnay, Manitoba

1,296 miles

Kemnay was named for the village of Kemnay in Scotland, which also has had problems with flooding.  In fact, I’d be very surprised if there was a single hamlet or hillock in Scotland that had not been used to name a Canadian railway town.

In this picture, it is clear that the railway gets the right of way and the roads must find their way around it (across or under).  In this floodplain region, I expect that this underpass would invite inundation.
