Watton, Michigan

1,966 miles

Apr 6 – “A place by the lake”.  This seems to be symbolic of what everyone wants.  A private refuge from stressful busy-ness, to get away for a while, with calm water to gaze at and float on.

The village of Watton was a stop on the Duluth, South Shore, and Atlantic Railroad.  It was a Finnish village, established in 1903.
