"Parkbeg Manor" |
Jan 2 – Like
so many other small communities in Saskatchewan, Parkbeg has become a semi-ghost
town with only a few citizens. This
abandoned farmhouse is a favorite subject of nostalgic photographers. Brent Parkin's artistic version of "Parkbeg Manor" is very
dramatic and shows homely details of the farmhouse’s former life.
Before 1957,
Parkbeg was incorporated under village status, but with declining population
was restructured to hamlet status under the jurisdiction of the rural
municipality of Wheatlands at that time.
This is the McFadyen house.
